I’m Sofia, a private chef, a caterer for wellness retreats and events, as well as a culinary consultant @chefsofiasagripanti. My work and food ethos centre around high-vibe, beautifully crafted vegan food. I love creating recipes for brands and restaurants/cafes and love training and guiding amateurs and chefs alike on plant-based cuisine.

In my creative cooking process, I blend strong gourmet elements with my knowledge of culinary nutrition, the use of seasonal, local and organic produce. My love for tropical living & culture has led me to combine medicinal ingredients such as raw cacao with my own Mediterranean heritage and a diverse and interesting variety of culinary traditions I have come into contact whilst living and cooking in Europe and the Americas.

In all my dishes and recipes you will find flavor balance and versatility; among my specialties vegan fermented + aged cheeses and raw desserts.

I am based in Mexico City and I am available to cook for retreats, private events and dinners in Mexico but I also work worldwide. During the summer season I travel to cater for retreats in Spain (Mallorca). My Mallorca retreat calendar is now booked for 2023. If you are interested in booking Sofia for a retreat in 2024, please do so sooner than later to ensure availability.

I was born in a small town in Italy, in 2010 I moved to Nottingham (UK) to complete a Medieval History Degree. a big thirst for food culture and a sommelier certificate led me to work over four years in the wine industry in London. In early 2015, whilst going through a transformational journey around her own physical and mental health she adopted a plant based lifestyle and began dreaming of a lifestyle business combining her passion for nourishing plant food, wellbeing practices & travel. I trained with key chefs and pioneers of the plant-based movement and cuisine including Kate Magic, Matthew Kenney and Amy Levin. The last five years I have catered and worked in some incredible wellness retreats as well as teaching workshops all around Europe, Costa Rica, Mexico and L.A.

One of her recent highlight was to be part of the catering team during the Billie Eilish US Tour in early 2020 and cooking for some high-profile clients in Mexico City.
